We hear from parents who are trying to answer a question that can keep a parent up at night:

"What comes next for my son or daughter?"

They are looking for a place where their young adult can learn practical skills, gain confidence, experience meaningful work, and continue moving toward greater independence.

Sometimes they find Dharma Dreams Vocational Center and think, This could be something my child would actually enjoy. This could work.

And then comes the harder conversation.

"We can't afford it."

We have already heard those words from families. And they are hard for us to hear.

Because a young adult's opportunity to discover what they are capable of shouldn't disappear simply because the financial piece doesn't work for their family.

That's where a Student Sponsor can make a very real difference.

You're Not Just Paying Tuition

A student sponsorship isn't simply paying for someone to attend a program.

It's giving a young adult the chance to try.

To pick up a paintbrush or landscaping tool and learn how to use it well.

To complete a job and step back and say, I did that.

To practice showing up on time, communicating with coworkers, solving problems, working through frustration, talking with customers, and taking responsibility.

To discover that something they once needed help doing may become something they can do themselves.

And perhaps most importantly, it gives a family another possibility when they are trying to answer that enormous question:

A semester at Dharma Dreams Vocational Center costs approximately $25,000 per student, including tuition, hands-on training, supplies, equipment, and program resources.

That's a significant investment for a family.

It's also why we need help.

Our goal is to build a Student Sponsorship Fund that helps provide financial assistance for students who are a good fit for our program when finances stand in the way.

Help fund a student's complete semester experience, including vocational education, hands-on training, supplies, life and workplace skills, entrepreneurship, and other program resources.

Sponsor a young adult's four-day introductory program at Dharma Dreams Vocational Center.

Four days may sound small.

But four days can be enough for someone to discover an interest, use a new tool, experience success, learn alongside others, and begin imagining a possibility they hadn't considered before.
